This Nashville, Tennessee-based Metalcore act formed in June, 2020 by Swedish Guitarist Anton Lindgren, Bassist Mary Dean, Vocalist Corey Maison, and Drummer/Producer/Engineer Austin "AKaudio". After a few months of searching for a dedicated Clean Vocalist, Vocalist Megumi "Buffy" Hallberg was hired as the band's Frontwoman in August, 2020.
They immediately began writing material and crafting a unique sound, all of their own and after a long 18+ months of blood, sweat, & tears and trying to adjust to a new way of life, caused by the "Covid-19" Plandemic lockdowns, 'ANIMA [EP]' was released, May 13, 2022.
Shortly after, "creative differences" would arise, leading to the departure of Guitarist Anton Lindgren, ultimately causing progression of new material to come to a screeching halt. After several weeks of no luck with securing a suitable replacement for the position, they decided it best to utilize the band's full, 'in-house' potential and Drummer Austin "AKaudio", began composing all Guitar arrangements for new material, adding an additional role to his impressively extensive, list of contributions to the band.
Later that year, after recording the currently unreleased Single, 'Human', Frontwoman Buffy decided to step down, in pursuit of additional dreams and goals for her career.
On September 2, 2022, the band released their Single 'SixNine' - an 'Attila' -inspired diss-track, aimed at rapper 6ix9ine and the controversy surrounding him at the time.
In March of 2023, the incredibly talented Kaiden "Frost" Clark was hired as the band's Clean Vocalist and currently, ANIMA is working diligently on new material, with several releases planned for 2024 - starting with 'Clockwork' - [Single] - available everywhere, January 1.
